James’s Billion-Dollar Business Outsources to Chinese Communist Party
LIVONIA, MI - The Mike Cox for Governor campaign today launched a new television ad backed by a $1 million buy, along with a companion website [JamesMadeinChina.com], documenting how Congressman John James’ billion-dollar business outsources to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its entities. Further, its relationship with Changan Automobile, whose corporate parent was designated by the Pentagon as a “Chinese military company” is highlighted.
The new ad and website exposes how James’ derives wealth from the business of importing Chinese-made auto parts and collaborating with a firm designated by the Pentagon as a Chinese military company. James Group Intl., is worth over $1 billion, outsources to over 25 different countries and has built deep financial ties to the CCP.
Trade and customs records show James’ company, Renaissance Global Logistics, avoided using American suppliers and instead imported nearly one thousand shipments of Chinese made auto parts, worth millions of dollars. The shipments hail from major Chinese ports like Shanghai, Ningbo and Shenzhen, and then land in James-controlled warehouses, where cheap Chinese-made auto parts such as wheels, suspension components, batteries, floor mats, audio components and more are then re-sold.
In Romulus, James’ company even operates a Foreign Trade Zone where Chinese goods can be stored and processed before tariffs are assessed.

“John James sold us out to China,” said Mike Cox. “He even flies the Chinese flag at his warehouse. Michigan workers deserve a Governor who will fight for Michigan jobs, not outsource jobs to Communist China to get rich. When I’m Governor, I’ll put Michigan first.”
“We have the receipts. The data doesn’t lie,” said Communications Director Jon Shiner. “Everything about John James and his China schemes is backed by public documents including import records, and the Pentagon’s own list of Chinese military companies. If John James will sell his business out to China, imagine what he’ll do as Governor.”
