Mike Cox Campaign Announces $2.1 Million Raised & Nearly $4 Million on Hand End of 3rd Quarter Filing
Livonia, MI - The Mike Cox for Governor campaign announced today that it will report raising $2.1 million dollars for the financial reporting deadline ending October 20th.
Cox's campaign will report $3.8 million cash on hand. His total raised stands at $4.5 million since launch.
“We're building the team, we’re doing the work, we have the resources — and we’re going to win this campaign,” said Cox. "I hear from families every day who are fed up with the chaos and the costs. They deserve a governor who fights for them and delivers results. That's what I do - I win and get stuff done."
For context, past Michigan open gubernatorial contests highlight how the current reported totals stack up: in 2017, Gretchen Whitmer’s campaign reported roughly $1.52 million cash on hand at a similar point in the cycle; and in the 2009-10 race, Rick Snyder ended the year with about $1.39 million cash on hand while out-raising his opponent by a solid margin.
Compared to those benchmarks, the Mike Cox campaign’s $3.8 million cash-on-hand signals a substantially stronger financial footing at this stage of the race — a level of resources that gives it considerable flexibility in outreach, staffing and momentum.
In addition to a strong financial position, Cox was the first candidate to complete his signature gathering process for ballot access. He has visited over 65 counties and is by far the most Trump-aligned candidate in the field.
